Next Step Co-Parenting of Marin was founded by Dr. Sheryl Hausman and Dr. Frederica Conrad as a primary resource for parents and professionals who wish to promote resilience in children following separation and divorce.
Dr. Conrad and Dr. Hausman found they shared a common philosophy and saw a common need in their practices for more education, support and services aimed at families dealing with separation and divorce. They decided to team up to provide services and classes, and founded Next Step Co-Parenting of Marin. Dr. Conrad and Dr. Hausman also maintain individual private clinical psychology practices in Marin County, California.
2010 Family Service Agency Volunteers of the Year!
Dr. Hausman and Dr. Conrad received the Family Service Agency of Marin 2010 Volunteer of the Year award for their work in helping the agency expand and improve services for divorced and separated families who can't afford private practice fees. Their volunteer efforts for FSA began as a collaboration with the agency's Clinical Director to develop services for children and families of divorce or separation. They prepared and conducted staff training and provided curriculum and other resource support. Drs. Hausman and Conrad continue to provide ongoing consultation to support the agency in helping parents guide their children through the emotional challenge of divorce or separation.
